Tips To Secure Internet Banking.

Nowadays lots of people are accessing bank facilities through Online Banking. Instead of going directly to the bank many of the people doing their transactions via the web. It’s a great relief for those who are standing in the queue to transfer money.

In a case of any confusion, you can use Bank Branch Locator to identify the beneficiary branch. Some banks have two branches in the same city in that situation you can use IFSC code to differentiate the banks.

If you don’t know Ifsc code of your beneficiary branch, you can find it on the Internet. (Ex: If you want to search ifsc code of Syndicate Bank. Just, go to Google and enter your beneficiary bank name and branch name. You will get the ifsc code of that particular branch).

Don’t follow links: Always try to access your bank website by entering your bank official website address in the URL bar. Your Bank website have encrypted security for your data, and you can see it from locked padlock icon in your address bar. Don’t respond any emails for providing your User ID, Password, Debit Card Number and Credit Card Number.

On-screen Keyboard: Prefer, On-screen Keyboard which is available in your Bank website to enter your User ID, Login Password, and Transaction Password.

Check your account regularly: Don’t forget to check your savings account at regular interval of the period. Make a double check after any transaction has made.

Phone Discussion: Be aware of bank verification phone calls, they never asked you for PIN Number, OTP, Any password, CVV(Card Verification Value). Don’t share these details with anyone for any reason.

Quality Password: Always try to set a secure password. Your password should contain mixtures of Lowercase and Uppercase of Alphabets, Numbers and Special Characters. Frequently changing the password is more safety. But, Don’t forget by yourself. Don’t write your PIN, Passwords at anywhere.

Use your PC: Don’t use your Internet Banking on public computers like Browsing Centers, Strangers computers, etc., There is a chance to hack your bank account.

Security Activation: Protect your computer by using any quality licensed Anti- virus / Personal firewall on your computer and update it regularly. You can use any anti- spyware also.

Clear Cache: Before shutdown your computer you should remove all your browsing history, Clear cache, and delete temporary files also. There may be a chance of containing your Password, Account number, or any sensitive information in temporary files.

Shoulder Surfer: Never allow anyone to shoulder surfing while entering your PIN, Login Password, and Transaction Password. Make double check before entering any sensitive information.

Log out: Don’t forget to log out your online banking after complete your transaction.
